2024 Manteno Christmas Tree Lane: "Rainbow Bridge" Tree
This tree was such an honor to design. After losing one of our beloved pets in Feb 2024, we knew we wanted to honor him! This year has been such a rough time for pet owners. Our community has lost so many amazing pets and we wanted to support our community. The idea of a rainbow bridge tree came after the Rainbow Bridge in North Carolina was destroyed by Hurricane Helene. This bridge was absolutely amazing and held the collars and tags of so many beloved animals. We wanted to bring a similar version of support to our community and their pets who passed. We chose Kankakee County Humane Foundation to receive the winnings of $357.00! The pet owners even got to keep their pet's photo and frame!
2024 4 Paws Trunk or Treat: We Bought a Zoo!
This event was a blast! The kids absolutely adored it! Our foster dog, Onyx joined us dyed as a zebra! He even won the costume contest! Onyx's handsome looks even found him an amazing home! We partnered with Helping Strands to bring the zoo to the kids! At our table we had bandanas and small hand soaps with a suggested donation. We were able to raise $75 for Kankakee County Humane Foundation! Thank you to all who came to support us and KCHF!
